Technician Jim was obviously well trained and had good experience with Maytag washers. He actually worked on two issues; 1) Power loss/locked washer and 2) starting difficulties starting from delivery Jim tackled both successfully, and we have not experienced a repeat of the power problem. He educated us re the starting procedure and the sensitivity of the two buttons. So far we are doing better at getting the washer started, but to be honest, the design would benefit from an update. The repair tech replaced the part but also was in the freezer compartment, taking out ice and took apart that unit as well. Now the unit is not making ice and we are not happy. I called the office and they want to charge another visit charge to come out. This is unacceptable as the ice unit was touched by the repair man and now and no longer works.
