"Worked way up through top of freezer to remove ceiling panel, then there was foam, steamed and came loose though broke along edge, above that is drain pan, steamed for long time and not coming free, can feel inches of ice above it is at angle so cannot steam directly, able to replace thermo disk and sensor. Heating element measured at 49ohms and is same as new, so heating element not needed.Jumped control and getting 120 vac to heater and 8vac to drip pan (315ohms on drip tray)Left heater jumped and let it defrost unit. Eventually was able to get the drip tray out and steamed rest of evap clear.Installed icemaker. Cs to monitor, compressor fan running. If fails to defrost again, would need the main control, if drip pan clogs again it will need the drip pan assy."
