Whirlpool tech support spoke with (Chris) his suggestion was to replace inner basket because of the gap between wash plate and inner basket possible for something to get stuck down in there and tore. Customer has spoke with customer care and she is wanting to have the unit replaced. I told her we cannot make that decision we have to follow whirlpools suggestion and that is replacing inner basket. "Customer complained of intermittent vibration/ grinding noise. Ran unit hand heard vibration start and stop intermittently. Took unit apart and found all wheels look good, pulley looks good. Found motor is vibrating more than normal intermittently, issue isnt with the mounting, tried fighting all screws and fasteners issue still present. Ordering new motor and. Blower wheel. Motor is making a vibration and causing blower housing to shake when it happens. During normal operation its not bad but when it starts vibrating the vibration travels in the whole of the blower housing to the exhaust area.
