Complaint that the unit has burnt marks on the back. Found heavy burnt wires behind the access panel to the terminal block is located. Found units terminal block was permanently removed and all power wire was spliced and installed with electrical wire nuts causing an electrical fire. Whirlpool does not cover warranty for installation like this for this dryer. Customer will take legal action on this issue and to keep the access panel off. No repairs done on this visit.

Customer complaint is that sometimes she hits the start button it counts down but it never starts.Put unit into service mode the only fault code was for suds. I put unit into quick wash mode with no clothing and immediately after filling and beginning rotation I noticed abundant amount of soap suds in unit. I advised customer to use only 2 tablespoons of soap. I never got the control to duplicate the problem for me even with the suds in unit. Roved all soap suds by hand with paper towels and then ran unit on drain/spin cycle to remove any remaining suds. Advised customer to use cleaning cycle and start washing again. Call us if needed..

Complaint burning smell causing fire alarms to go off in home black smoke coming from dryer area. I found root cause of smoke is from a thermal event that occured at power receptacle home power supply and power cord welding power cord to outlet receptacle. I inspected entire dryer by means of disassembly no faults or electrical issues found whatsoever with dryer resistance values of element is 9.8 ohm oL to frame all fuses are .2 ohms no motor winding issues found either nor timer issues. File number. 7737272343 file number. Safety file number 7737242577. Customer to replace receptacle and power cord not covered under warranty. We do not do that kind of service.

Complaint at the beginning of July unit stopped cooling properly went on a 5 week vacation and upon arrival unit did it again. I found freezer temp is -5 fresh food temp is 36 degrees. All leds and controls pre working fine customer thinks freezer door may heave been left open all fans are working fine no abnormal noises no error codes in test 56 unit set at 37 and -5 degrees I reset temps to factory. I cannot duplicate or hear or see any kind of issues today unit is working fine as of now.

"Complaint unit seems to be using too much detergent. I found detergent or so that 2X concentrate was dosing properly detergent being used as a 4X concentrate detergent advise customer and showed customer how to adjust concentrate level recommended setting to 4X or 6X concentrate. I inspected Dispenser and Inspected Floyd Inspected Everything could not find any problems. Unit is not siphoning out Either I suspect also, the customer may be having an out of balance issue leading to excess detergent over shaking out.
