"Checked over unit and found customer having an issue with condensation building in inside edge of doors, checked gaskets and found sealing but the gaskets where pushed out on an angle found when opening both door the gaskets would hit and jam the doors together, tried to reheat gaskets and mold them back to seal but they would not go back the door liner is pushing in gasket causing it to not seal on both doors. "Customer complained unit making knocks nosie. Ran unit with customer and no noise present. Customer showed video of sound but couldnt make out what noise was and wants loud enough out of ordinary sounds. Took unit apart and checked belt, belt pully, and both drum rollers installed in last call. All check ok. Took off back of unit and checked blower wheel , wheel in place not off balance and nothing in housing. Ran unit after reassembled and ran with clothes in unit no noise heard,called tech line while letting unit run. Ran unit for 15 Minutes and unit didnt make any noise out of normal operation, customer was behind me in kitchen while doing this. Informed tech line of findings and saturation. Tech-line said it could be the belt the way the unit is designed , checked outside vent and top vent flap on homes outside vent and found debris keeping top flap slightly open. Temperature change from cold could cause dryer drive belt to make noise going through idle pulley until heating up. Informed customer of tech-line information. Unit is working as designed. Complaint that the unit is turning off after 15 seconds. Came into the house to look at the unit. Mentioned to the customer that the office quoted them $129.00 to diagnose the problem and they are aware of it. Customer asked me before doing any diagnostic what would the price range be without looking at the dryer and I mentioned that to be able to find a problem with the unit I first have to open the unit up to verify which component needs serviced and will be quoted for parts and labor and the 129.00 will be waive but if not then the trip fee will be collected.
