"Upon arrival customer complained ice maker not working again. Found no ice in bin. Ran test 56 , Found no error codes stored. Found ice in icemaker tray. Ran test 57 harvest. Unit harvest ice in ice mold. Ran test 45, unit filled with water but not enough. Ran Ice fan test 36 , fan working. Ran bin test 15 bin not full and saying not full so passed. Ran full tube heater test, fill tube getting proper voltage. Checked fill tube and found ice in line but not enough to fully obstruct like. Called techline, showed picture of fill tube /heater. Techline said to seal seams with aluminum tape and put permagum back in entrance to fill tube. Also told customer to take filter out for a week to see if the water flow from Filter is the issuecn(23041596.); used 1 212643 (SEALER-GUM) from stock"

"Unit is a new build complaint was when filling with water. It was making a strange noise and wasnt feeling with enough water. Found no error code stored ran unit. Sounds like air in waterline. Ran connected sink while dishwasher was not filling . and sink is doing the same thing like air is in the line . issue is with the plumbing not the unit. Took a video of the sink sputtering but cant attach to ticket. Dishwasher fills runs sump, fills more runs sump, this is the design. Ran sink for awhile then ran dishwasher again and no noise coming from dishwasher fill."

"Upon arrival customer said they had it worked on by kitchen aid. When they got back from vacation it wasnt working. Found compressor kicking out and almost no Freon in system. Tried adding Freon but compressor keeps kicking out immediately. Charged 250 nitrogen for 20 mins , no drop in pressure and bubble tested all joints and evap and hinges. Called Randy, customer had had another whirlpool company out on 3-11-26 and Installed new compressor. Customer didnt want to pay trip fee and wanted to call Whirlpool to get previous company out to repair . Left call."

The Technician was helpful and was very forthcoming with information as to the issue with the ice maker.
I was very disappointed that I had to pay $138 dollars to be told there was an error code and that I needed to clear that code by turning the breaker off and on.
I also blame KitchenAid for not doing more to help with this issue.

I recently had service with technician name Paul 12/11. I called for service due to my control panel for my oven wasn’t functioning at all. Paul diagnosed my oven by just attempting to press buttons on my control board and stated I needed a new control broad. Paul did not remove the back panel of my oven to check if there was a wire disconnected or to see why my oven panel was not responding. Then proceeded to tell me the cost to replace the panel and stated he has the part. I ask if he will check to see if there is another problem Paul states if the panel is not functioning at all we have to replace it. I’m so disappointed at whirlpool technicians I was charge for a service that wasn’t done at all. I declined replacement repair. I called another technician from another company that actually looked and seen that a wire needed to be reconnected and my control panel did not need to be replaced in which save me hundreds. I believe I should get my money back from whirlpool for poor service! I wish I could get negative stars!
